The Lover’s Key suite at Siesta Dreams is a newly renovated upstairs hideaway for two, about 5 minutes by car from Fort Myers Beach (longer in peak season). Decorated in a romantic boho chic style, it’s the kind of place where your cares melt away as soon as you step inside.
This efficiency suite combines the living room and bedroom, with a queen bed, a bistro table and chairs, a 55″ TV, a fully equipped kitchen and a full bath with shower. Step outside to the screened porch and open-air deck, both overlooking the mangrove lagoon and the property’s kayak launch.
Because Siesta Dreams sits about 2 miles north of the beach, date nights and grocery runs don’t mean crossing the bridge. When you want the sand, walk 2 minutes to the trolley stop and ride to the beach for 75 cents. Spend a morning paddling the mangroves, and save a sunset for Lovers Key State Park, about 20 to 25 minutes south and one of our favorite beaches around Fort Myers. Book the Lover’s Key suite on Airbnb or VRBO.
What our guests are saying…
Lover’s Key is the upstairs suite at the back left of Siesta Dreams, with a cozy, open layout. The combined living room and bedroom has a queen bed, a bistro table and chairs and a 55″ TV, plus a fully equipped kitchen and a full bath with shower.
Soft boho textures and a little romance in every corner make Lover’s Key a natural fit for honeymoons, anniversaries or a well-earned escape for two. It’s the kind of space that makes slowing down easy.
Lover’s Key has both a screened porch and an open-air deck, each looking out over the mangrove lagoon and the property’s kayak launch. It’s a peaceful place to watch the morning light or wind down after dinner.
Lover’s Key is about 2 miles north of Fort Myers Beach, not on the beach, so everyday errands stay easy. The beach is about 5 minutes by car (longer in peak season), or a 2-minute walk to the trolley stop and a 75-cent ride. Our parking and trolley tips cover the rest.
Surf Style is about a 10-minute walk, and Publix is about 4 minutes by car for picnic supplies. The Sanibel Causeway is about 10 minutes away, and Lovers Key State Park is about 20 to 25 minutes by car. For more date ideas, see our guide to things to do in Fort Myers Beach.
The kayak launch is tucked into the mangroves on the north side of the property. Ask us for our recommended kayak, paddleboard and bike rentals, and check our kayaking guide for more places to explore. There are also two new boat docks, usually reserved for long-term slip leases, so ask about availability.
End your evenings at the fire pit, with Adirondack chairs facing the canal and boat basin. Guests also share grilling areas, free off-street parking and a laundry room with two stacked washer and dryer sets. Bringing friends? Pair Lover’s Key with the Tommy Bahama suite for two couples, or add Turtle Cove and Blue Oasis to book all four suites.
Lover’s Key is an upstairs suite, so expect stairs. Siesta Dreams is pet-free and non-smoking, and booking is through Airbnb or VRBO only. Your hosts, Anne and Shane, are Florida licensed real estate brokers who opened Siesta Dreams after Hurricane Ian to bring more short-term stays back to Fort Myers Beach, Sanibel and Captiva.
