The Tommy Bahama suite at Siesta Dreams is a newly renovated one-bedroom retreat about 5 minutes by car from Fort Myers Beach (longer in peak season). Rustic tropical blues and warm copper tones give it an Old Florida feel, and a private screened porch gives you a quiet spot of your own to start and end the day.
The private bedroom has a king bed, and the queen sleeper sofa in the living room makes room for extra guests. There’s a fully equipped kitchen, a full bath with shower and a 55″ TV, so it works just as well for a couple’s escape as for a small family or a pair of friends.
Tommy Bahama sits on the back right side of the property, about 2 miles north of the beach, so you skip the bridge for groceries and dinners out. When it’s beach time, the trolley stop is a 2-minute walk and the ride is 75 cents. Spend an afternoon paddling the mangroves from the kayak launch, then catch the evening by the fire pit on the canal. Book the Tommy Bahama suite on Airbnb or VRBO.
What our guests are saying…
Tucked on the back right side of Siesta Dreams, this one-bedroom suite has a private bedroom with a king bed and a queen sleeper sofa in the living room for extra guests. You’ll also find a fully equipped kitchen, a full bath with shower and a 55″ TV.
Rustic tropical blues and warm copper accents give the suite a relaxed Old Florida look, and the king bed makes sleeping in very tempting. The private screened porch is your own quiet spot for slow mornings and easy evenings.
The suite is about 2 miles north of Fort Myers Beach (not on the beach), close enough for quick beach trips with no bridge to cross for everyday errands. It’s about 5 minutes by car (longer in peak season), or a 2-minute walk to the trolley stop and a 75-cent ride. Surf Style is about a 10-minute walk, and Publix is about 4 minutes by car.
The Sanibel Causeway is about 10 minutes by car, so the islands next door make an easy day out. Our Sanibel and Captiva day trip guide covers where to go, and our guide to things to do in Fort Myers Beach has plenty of ideas closer to home.
The lagoon and mangroves behind Siesta Dreams are made for slow paddles. Head out from the kayak launch on the north side of the property, ask us for our recommended kayak, paddleboard and bike rentals, and see our kayaking guide for more places to paddle. Boaters can ask about the two new boat docks, which are typically reserved for long-term slip leases.
Share the canal-side fire pit and Adirondack chairs overlooking the boat basin, plus grilling areas and free off-street parking. A shared laundry room with two stacked washer and dryer sets makes it easy to pack light.
The Tommy Bahama suite works on its own or as part of a bigger trip. Pair it with Lover’s Key for two couples, or add Turtle Cove and Blue Oasis so the whole family gets a suite of their own.
There are no pets at Siesta Dreams, though we love them, and the property is non-smoking. Booking is through Airbnb or VRBO only. Your hosts are Anne and Shane, Florida licensed real estate brokers who opened Siesta Dreams after Hurricane Ian so visitors to Fort Myers Beach, Sanibel and Captiva would have more good places to stay.
